- Two original character references, written by persons known to the applicant for at least five years
- Certified copy of marriage certificate (if applicable)
- Certified copy of spouse’s birth certificate (if applicable)
- Certified copy of child’s birth certificate (if applicable)
- Financial reference(s) verifying economic worth including cash and property owned and citing a figure range
- Purchase a residence for BSD $750,000.00 or more

Annual Residence:
An Annual Residence Permit allows non-Bahamians wishing to reside in The Bahamas to do so on an annual basis. The option to apply for annual residency status is available to spouses or dependents.

- Two passport-sized identical colour photographs
- A police certificate
- A medical certificate
- Two written character references
- Marriage certificate (married persons)
- Spouse’s death certificate (widowed persons)
- Divorce decree (divorcees)
- Financial reference(s) verifying economic worth including cash and property owned and citing a figure range
- Rent a residence in the Bahamas
Please note:
- The approval of Residency is at the discretion of the Immigration Authorities. Additional costs apply for dependents and family members and vary with the age of a person.
- All documents issued from countries outside The Bahamas must be properly verified (by apostille or Legalization)
- Certified translations in English are required for each foreign document submitted
- Translations must be prepared by someone proficient in the relevant foreign language
